THE de LeZ ISSUE
Regular visitors to NOD THE DOG will be very familiar with one of our top artistes; de LeZ. Well it seems that de LeZ has loftier ambitions than simply being one of the most prolific home-recording artistes of the modern age. So much so, that we just had to devote a whole issue of THE DAILY NOD to him. Read on, and be amazed! SPEND, SPEND, SPEND!!!! Not content with having a 1991 Chevrolet Corvette in his garage, de LeZ can't seem to spend his money fast enough! Top of his list of extravagance is the new Pressdatin recording studio. The facility is a complete transformation of the loft space above his property in North Wales. "I wanted to create a place with a special atmosphere, somewhere just right for honing the creative process. Needless to say, it will be crammed full of the latest high-tech recording equipment too!"

NEW EQUIPMENT As The Daily Nod went to print, de LeZ was sizing up new equipment for the Pressdatin Studios. Recent acquisitions include 3 (yes THREE) new guitars!
Top of the pile of new guitars is a brand new American made Fender Stratocaster with a Tobacco Sunburst finish. "I just wish I could master some of those Williams licks." said de LeZ. It would appear that de LeZ is trying to capitalize on his success in covering some of the 60's blues masterpieces, and has in fact invested a not inconsiderable sum of money on the latest Marshall "Bluesbreaker" combo amplifier.
"It's not only a perfect partner for my new strat, but also for my new Gibson 335 semi." commented de LeZ. Following the Gibson 335 semi, the final new addition to grace the Pressdatin Studio is a fully chromed National Steel Resonator Guitar. de LeZ not content with being king of the electric blues, is now after the title that Old Man Williams holds for acoustic blues! ~ Exclusive extra! de LeZ to play dark side of the moon? ~ |
IN A WARDROBE? Saving the best for last, de LeZ let slip his secret weapon in the Pressdatin recording studios; an antique craftsman built solid mahogany wardrobe! "It's not just any wardrobe" said de LeZ, "It's a fully customised studio bound rack mounted guitar safety device. And it holds five guitars!" Perhaps this is the bizarre side of the de LeZ character coming out, or perhaps it is simply an aesthetic part of the Pressdatin Studio, who knows? But it is now a permanent antique craftsman built solid mahogany fixture of the de LeZ empire in North Wales.
