The Tarquins?
New to NOD THE DOG this month are "The Tarquins" (no relation to Tarquin the Roadie). Visit their featured artiste page to download the debut mp3 "The Horrible Song", which certainly lives up to it's name! ~ Ogg Vorbis If you've downloaded some of the mp3's from our featured artistes, you will have noticed that the sound quality isn't always as good as it could be. This is because we want to keep the file sizes down to a practical level. However, the relatively new compressed audio format called; 'Ogg Vorbis' is becoming increasingly more popular as it allows superior sound quality at smaller file size. So here at Nod The Dog Productions we have decided to adopt the format. For the time being, we'll continue to feature mp3 tracks, but expect to see new tracks converted to the new format. This will save on server space, speed up download times, and improve the sound quality of our artistes submissions. |
The Good Olde Days Found in the NOD THE DOG dusty shoebox archives this month are a couple of classic photos of some of our favourite personalities before they became home-recording superstars. First off we have the irresponsibly rich de LeZ looking remarkably like Kevin Webster from Coronation Street.
And who could this next picture possibly be? It was obviously taken in the olden days, before colour film was invented, but who is it?
It is of course 'Bad Boy Keefy' the legendary drummer from the de LeZ Fan Club Band. We are reliably informed that this picture dates back to when the young whippersnapper bashed the skins on a MASSIFF kit! ~ Daily Nod Archive |
Indiskyz go naked? INDISKYZ have recorded an unplugged version of the old favourite; "Brass In Pocket". "I was sick and tired of playing round with sequencers and samples and just wanted to do something 'real' for a change." said Tony. The barebones version of the song was recorded in one take with no overdubs, and features a simple arrangement of Tony's acoustic guitar and Pam's voice. Get it now from the Indiskyz featured artiste page. ~ de LeZ Fan Club to release CD? Rumours abound that the infamous de LeZ Fan Club are to release a limited edition CD!
The CD is to feature live versions of classic rock tracks including; Purple Haze, Paranoid and Wild Thing. The CD has the current working title of "Cover me Badd!" Otis Vaters wouldn't comment on suggestions that de LeZ himself was to join the band on banjo for a souped up rock tune. Exclusive: de LeZ to play dark side of the moon? |
