Tarquin gets new image!

Readers may remember that Tarquin, bass player with The Dog's Bollox, has been looking for a new surname following accusations from the Peyote clan of Farquhars.

Many suggestions were made by fans of the Bollox, including 'Tarquin The Hun' and 'Tarquin Lowdownunder', but the one Tarquin has most taken to is 'Tarquin Yahtzee'.

"I've been a great lover of Yahtzee for quite a while now, and I'll often have several sessions a night." said Tarquin, "So it seems appropriate that I should be called after my favourite passtime, apart from playing bass with the Dog's Bollox ofcourse!"

Bad Boy Keefy gets big boy's kit and Otis Vaters eats hat!

Bad Boy Keefy, drummer with The Dog's Bollox has shed his image of a big boy behind an ickle kit and invested in a massiff rack mounted all birch percussionists dream.

Otis Vaters, singer with the Bollox, was so convinced that BBK wouldn't actually buy the kit that he promised to eat his hat if the purchase was made.

The Daily Nod can confirm that the deal was done and BBK is now the proud owner of said kit as seen below:

This left only the hat eating. To ensure that Otis kept to his word, we sent along a photographer to witness the event.

The artiste formerly known as 'de LeZ' has released a terrific new track to commemorate his new title of 'JuSt LeZ'. About A Girl is reminiscent of a beatnik style, and features a jangling guitar underpinned by a hypnotic bongo beat. The addition of the occasional splash of tambourine adds an aura of mystique to the song.

One can imagine the dimly lit Pressdatin studio filled with smoke and the pungent smell of exotic fragrances lingering in the air. JuSt LeZ, dressed all in black, hammers rhythmically on his bongos, and surrounding him are his smiling friends sitting cross legged in the shadows and swaying in time
to the music. The disciples watch gleefully as the master builds his latest creation track by track, and he rewards them with the occasional smile in their direction. Vocally, JuSt LeZ alternates between a dreamy aloof narrative and an almost aggressive insistent statement which builds up and introduces a wild electric guitar solo......

Then the creative process is finished, the shadows brighten, and JuSt LeZ finds himself alone once more with only his latest song and the memory of a mystical event. What is he going to do now? Why send it to Nod The Dog Productions of course!
