INDISKYZ

INDISKYZ were a duo featuring Pam Birch on Vocals and Tony Williams on Guitar and backing vocals. They performed around the pubs and clubs of Wirral from 2000 - 2001 using midi file backing tracks - programmed and arranged by Tony. A typical set would consist of songs from the sixties through to some of the latest chart hits. Although INDISKYZ don't perform anymore, they still get together occasionally to write and record original material - some of which is available in mp3 format below.

The idea for Indiskyz first came about when a mutual friend was impressed on hearing Pam singing along with a CD. His reaction was to phone Tony and persuade him to get his guitar out of the loft! The first of many rehearsals followed as Tony and Pam developed their style, and built up a repertoire of distinctive cover songs. Indiskyz were unleashed on the public in August of 2000 at The Farmer's Arms in Frankby, Wirral.

Pam Birch - Lead Vocals

Pam's Stage debut was as a schoolgirl when she appeared in "A Christmas Carol" at Pensby Girls. She went on to travel the North West of England entering competitions in Latin American Ballroom Dancing, and as a result won a cabinet full of medals and trophies. Pam prides herself on being the "loudest clarinet player the school orchestra ever had", although her singing talents went undiscovered until later.

Pam's philosophy is simply to enjoy life, and her hobbies include knitting cobwebs and drinking Vodka & Tonic (s). Her musical influences include Celine Dion, Blondie, David Cassidy and The Wombles.

Tony Williams - Guitar, Midi Sequencing, Backing Vocals.

Tony comes from Greasby, Wirral. His musical influences include; Crowded House, Eric Clapton, BB King, Talking Heads and The B52's.

In 1989 Tony helped set up the Vauxhall Motors Guitar Club. The aim was to bring together like minded guitarists and musicians for a regular social evening, to enjoy playing, singing, and drinking beer. This spawned many friendships and a couple of musical collaborations; including the duo "Trivial Pursuit". His hobbies include collecting shirts and wine tasting.
